Tooka Zokaie is an Iranian American piano teacher and speech coach. She works toward spreading the appreciation of self-expression, be it through music, words, dance and service by working with the younger generation. At twenty years old, she understands that there is still much to learn and improve about the world around us.

I Made Music in Iran, Defying Laws

When I went to Iran this summer, almost everything I participated in related to music was illegal. I played piano to male audiences, participated in underground concerts and danced without my headscarf to Persian pop music.
