Carol Downer co-founded the Feminist Women's Health Center in Los Angeles in 1972 and the Federation of Feminist Women's Health Centers in 1975. She is the editor and co-author of several books, including "A New View of a Woman's Body" and "A Woman's Book of Choices," which describes Lorraine Rothman's Del'em and the menstrual extraction procedure.
