The person who fills this position will work closely with Rita Henley Jensen, the editor in chief of Women’s eNews, to fulfill the organization’s fundraising goals for this quarter.

This is an excellent re-entry position as Women’s eNews will offer flexible hours and work-from-home options, however, most work will be performed in the Women’s eNews mid-town offices in New York City.
The person for this job should have experience in grant writing and online fundraising as well as strong writing skills. The ability to work with major donors, board members and other staff members, such as director of Web operations and event manager, is also crucial.
The individual who fills this position must be passionate about women’s rights, meticulous in attention to detail, interested in the media and current events, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, as well as completely professional in all of her or his dealings.
Women’s eNews is an incubator program of the Fund for the City of New York, providing Women’s eNews accounting, payroll and human resources services.
Women’s eNews is a nine-year-old independent, daily Internet-based news service covering issues of particular concern to women. Women’s eNews has more than 47,000 subscribers, 350,000 visitors to its Web site each month and an estimated readership of 3 million in 120 nations. Women’s eNews is also published in Arabic.
The news service covers a broad spectrum of issues, from poverty to rape, to job bias to the importance of networking, with a strong emphasis on international women’s issues.
Location: Women’s eNews offices are in mid-town Manhattan, near Pennsylvania and Grand Central stations.
Qualifications: bachelor’s degree; mastery of Excel, Word and Access software; personable, outgoing manner; highly accurate and detail-oriented performance; excellent writing skills; and three to five years experience in fundraising and development.
