Video: Women in Media Give Advice to Girls

At the Getty House in Los Angeles, media executives discussed what it meant for them to be women in an industry that is under public scrutiny for discrimination and racism.

(WOMENSENEWS)– Even before the #OscarsSoWhite controversy took over Twitter, women of color media executives had their eye on how their industry represents a population that will be a majority of the country by 2050.

At a recent gathering of women in new media, Ann Le, producer of “Dear White People,” told reporters from GlobalGirl Media that “Hollywood is starting to appreciate people of color.”
