Video: Some Florida Teens Want More Than Anatomy in Sex Ed

They have different opinions on the quality of sex education they’re receiving at school. But all these Florida teens say it’s important be prepared.

(WOMENSENEWS)— When I turned my video on some of my classmates and asked them what they thought about our current sex education program at school, I got mixed responses.

Seventeen-year-old Allison Kopas, thought the school did a great job of preparing her to navigate the daunting world of sex.

But Sierra Callwood, also 17, felt differently. “While I have parents that talk to me and a great doctor and physician I definitely don’t think I’ve learned, hardly anything about reproduction,” she said.
