(WOMENSENEWS)– In honor of Women’s History Month, Teen Voices videographer Cady Bohannon shot a question at a group of her classmates: “Who is your favorite woman in history?” Answers ranged from Harriet Tubman to Ellen DeGeneres to Wendy Lawrence, a former NASA astronaut.

Bohannon, a video production student at Choice High School and Technical Center in Walton Beach, Fla., has her own favorite. She gets inspiration from Elizabeth Cady Stanton. “She was a part of the women’s suffrage movement, which is something I am really into, and I can relate to many of her points,” Bohannon said in a phone interview. “She was really strong and did a lot of things women at the time didn’t do.”

By making the video, Bohannon said she learned about famous women she hadn’t heard of before, including Princess Diana and Malala Yousafzai. In addition, Bohannon said, “I learned that when you ask people about their favorite women, they need to think about it.”
